Today HES, Inc., an ASSA ABLOY Group company, launched the RF5910 hybrid electric strike, the first-ever concealed electric strike with an integrated Proximity card reader. Combining the access control of an HID® Prox reader with the physical security of a Grade 1 electric strike, the RF5910 is completely hidden within the door frame, offering installers and end-users sophisticated control and superior aesthetics in one seamless package.
This innovative hybrid electric strike is designed to fit into any standard ANSI frame prep without cutting on the face of the frame, and offers vertical adjustability to accommodate for door misalignment. Engineered to work with any Weigand-compatible access control system, the RF5910 hybrid electric strike allows for quick installation in a single location, including latchbolt and door position supervision as part of the standard model. Non-handed and reversible, the unit comes with an external antenna and a variety of faceplate options for cylindrical locks, providing superior access control with convenience and flexibility.
“Encompassing everything inside the doorframe not only increases tamper resistance, it also improves the aesthetics of the installation,” notes Michael Webb, CEO of HES, Inc. “ By blending traditional electric strikes with new technologies such as an HID proximity card readers, HES continues to provide our customers with innovative solutions to their access control needs.”
